It sounds unlikely doesn’t it? And yet according to a recent study it could well be that hopping onto your exercise bike could well help you in this respect.

This Swedish study was mentioned in a recent article online at the MSN website. But although the study seemed to suggest that exercise bikes were directly responsible for making sure the migraines abated, we wonder whether it was actually the exercise (not the type of exercise) that helped.

We all know that exercise is good for us in lots of different ways. It can wake us up first thing in the morning and get us out and about more often. It can also enable us to lose weight and burn more calories as we build up the degree of muscle we have in our bodies. In addition to this it simply makes us feel good. If you have ever gone for a bracing walk or done any kind of exercise at all, you will know the good feeling it gives you afterwards. This is all due to the hormones that go racing through your body as a result of your hard work.

So if you suffer from migraines perhaps you should take the exercise bike idea to heart and see whether regularly pedalling on it helps you at all. Apparently it should lessen the number of migraines you experience if you make sure you pedal quite often. You should also find that when you do have them, they are not as bad as they were before.

Exercise bikes are very convenient ways to exercise as well. You might think that going out and about on a real bike is better, but this only applies if the weather is good!
