Tunturi Exercise Bikes

If you have already started looking for your brand new exercise bike, then you will surely have come across the name Tunturi. Not surprisingly they aren’t a British company – their roots are firmly set in Finland, and their history goes back almost ninety years.

So they have certainly made a name for themselves in the world of exercise equipment – not least of course, exercise bikes. So let’s find out a bit more.

A Selection of the Best Selling Tunturi Exercise Bikes

What type of exercise bikes do they make?

You will soon find that Tunturi bikes are not at the cheapest end of the market. As such you can expect to find a good range of recumbent bikes as well as those that are upright.

They also have lots of additional features that you just wouldn’t see on a traditional basic exercise bike. Some of them are programmable and others have features that are unique to Tunturi. One of these actually has a full colour console that gives you an ever changing picture of the open road! Even if you are sitting in your bedroom you can imagine you are outside and in the country somewhere. It certainly makes your exercise bike more appealing to use!

Why should you choose a Tunturi exercise bike?

There are several reasons we could list here. First and foremost we could say that you are looking at bikes which are most definitely at the top of the range. The aforementioned colour console and its features is just one example of this.

The quality is another good reason for opting for a Tunturi exercise bike. You will be able to see that a lot of thought and care has gone into the creation and design of each bike. That will be evident when you start using it for the first time.

Another feature worth considering is that many of their bikes come with lots of programs built in. So instead of just hopping on and pedalling and deciding yourself how far or how fast you want to go, you can simply select the appropriate program and follow it to get the best results. As such, this is a feature well worth paying extra money for.

What kind of pricing would you be looking at?

Well it does depend largely on the model of course, and they do have quite a large range as you will see from their website. But at the cheapest end you are still looking at a few hundred pounds, and at the most expensive end you will easily go over £1,000.

We found one of their more basic models on sale for less than £500, although when we say basic we use that term loosely! Even the basic entries in their range have plenty of features which make them well worth looking at.

And the most expensive effort we found was called the Ergometer – which incidentally is the one with the road images to make you feel like you are in the countryside. This comes in at a tiny fraction under £2,000 although we have seen it listed at about 25% less than this.

What kind of information is available on their website?

There is a lot available here, once you know where to look. First of all you should click on the product finder link at the top of the page. This will give you a number of options to go through, of which you should obviously pick cycling as the first one.

Once you get to see some of the ranges you can click on them to read more. Bullet pointed features and benefits are first up, followed by an impressive list of more technical details. These two sections are split up by other images of the bike if they are available.

Further down the page you will also find a download button which will give you access to the more comprehensive information about your chosen bike. And you will also see a number of buttons, colour coded with words inside them. Click on any one of these and you will be taken to a list which explains in full what they mean.

The Tunturi website certainly doesn’t cut corners when it comes to promoting their bikes!

In conclusion

If you want an exercise bike that is going to be a thrill and a challenge to use, then look at the Tunturi range. You are bound to find something that you want here; the only question is whether or not you will be able to afford your dream!
