Kettler Exercise Bikes

There are some makes of exercise bikes – and indeed exercise equipment as a whole – that are simply better known generally than others. Kettler is one of those makes.

Perhaps this is because it is a brand that tends to appear in lots of different places, both online and off. But is this a brand that would suit you? And what does it have to offer? Furthermore, where does it position itself in the marketplace? Let’s see if we can figure out the answers to those questions.

A Selection of the Best Selling Kettler Exercise Bikes

What type of exercise bikes do they make?

Kettler has produced a number of bikes in both the upright and recumbent ranges. Strangely enough their website only seems to feature the upright bikes, although a quick search for recumbent Kettler exercise bikes using a search engine will reveal that they do sell them.

As far as the type of bikes you will find, you will soon see that they do actually cover quite a large range. You won’t find much in the way of cheap entry level exercise bikes here, but if you are looking for a basic bike to get you started that costs a little more than the really basic ones, this is a good make to consider.

You will also find bikes which are more involved and as a result venture more into the £1,000 and up territory. These are more the exception than the rule though, and represent the upper end of the price range.

Why should you choose a Kettler exercise bike?

No matter which exercise bike you are thinking about, you will see that each and every model has had a lot of thought and care injected into its making. Even at the cheaper end of the range you can see that there are plenty of features to get your teeth into, making it possible to get a lot of productive use out of the bike.

And when you want something more involved you can splash out on a model that has almost fifty different programmes for you to follow. Now if that doesn’t give you plenty to pedal for, what will?

The design and form of these bikes is also equal to the actual functionality of them. If you think all exercise bikes look pretty much the same, you might change your mind once you have seen the Kettler additions to the stable.

What kind of pricing would you be looking at?

There is a significant difference between the bikes at the cheapest end of the range and those at the most expensive. For example the guide price for the cheapest one on their website is £200, although you may be able to get it cheaper if you shop around.

There are plenty of options available if you are prepared to go up to spending between £300 and £400. But the most expensive doesn’t give you a lot of change from £1,400.

What kind of information is available on their website?

All the current additions to their range can be seen on one page, which gives you a good look at the whole selection before viewing any one in particular.

When you do click on a picture you will be able to see a larger picture of the exercise bike on the next page, along with the guide price for that model. There is also a link which invites you to enlarge the picture; this brings up an excellent and very sharp photo in a separate window.

Click on the features tab near the top of that product page and you will be able to read some more about the bike you are looking at. There is a brief paragraph which introduces you to the bike, and then you can read a bullet pointed list of some of the main things to bear in mind. These include aspects such as the type of wheel it has, i.e. a flywheel for example.

There is little more to read but it does give you a good starting point to go from.

In conclusion

Kettler has been around for over half a century, and for just under half of that time they have been gradually establishing themselves in the UK. As a result they are a well known and familiar name to those who have any knowledge of the home fitness and equipment industry.

So if you need an exercise bike of any kind, why not consider a Kettler one? It might be just what you are looking for.
